DVD Dead Drop (close by in Astoria)
Looking at Aram Bartholl's USB Dead Drops made for some good conversation today in class- public art, accessibility, audiences, risk, new media. You might like to know that he has made another project very close by at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria. In this project, you must find the DVD slot, insert a blank disc that you bring with you, and after a few minutes you will receive a digital art/selected media disc. The DVD dead drop is available 24 hours a day. To see how it works, you can watch this video.
