Girl with a Mandolin

Girl with a Mandolin (Fanny Tellier)

Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881–1973)

Line - there is a lot of horizontal and vertical lines forming rectangular shapes.
Value - girl is lighter than the area around her, that's why we can see her easily.
Shape - there are a lot of geometric shapes, reducing the number of shapes seems to represent the girl.
Form - painting appear three-dimensional because of all these cubic shapes
Space - background seems to have more shapes than the girl, I think the girl is positive space.
Color - the same khaki color tone throughout the painting.
Texture - texture appear to be hard surface but in reality is probably smooth.
