he's a figurative artist and sculptor
his work feature a figurative style some people call it "Boterismo"
and this style gives his work unmistakeable identity
he is known for painting people in tremendous ,exaggerated & disproportionate volumetry
he is self titled "the most Colombian of Colombian artists"
he won the 1st place in "el salon de artistas colombianos " (colombian hall of fame) in 1958
"an artist is attracted to certain kinds of form without knowing why .you adopt a position intuitively ,only later do you attempt to rationalize or even justify it "
